Long, long ago in Kelantan, there was a princess named Princess Saadong. She was well known for her kindness and beauty. She was very much loved by her people. Many people wanted to get to know her. The princes who knew about her, dreamed of marrying her. Among them was the King of Siam. He sent some people to represent him to ask for her hand in marriage. His proposal was rejected by Princess Saadong. She did not want to be the queen of Siam. The King of Siam was very frustrated but he did not give up. He thought and thought of how to make Princess Saadong his queen. Mean while, Princess Saadong got married to a prince named Raja Abdullah. When the King of Siam got to know about this, he was very angry. He decided to attack Kelantan. The war broke out between Siam and Kelantan. Many warriors from both sides died in the war. Princess Saadong was very sad to see this. Princess Saadong told her husband, "Your grace, let me go and"The King might capture you and put you in prison," he said. She missed him very much. Shockingly, she found that Raja Abdullah had a new wife. Worse still, Raja Abdullah looked down on her. "Go back to Siam! Go and be the Queen of Siam.
